1.  Articulated Japanese Lobster

Item Price: $995 (plus shipping TBD)

Item Description: Japanese jizai articulated copper model of a Pacific spiny lobster. Very realistic with naturalistic patina. Signed underneath with full mark, “Myochin”, a famous family of Japanese metalsmiths dating back 4 centuries. Fully articulated, no damage, a very large example of jizai metalwork. Meiji Period, circa 1900. measures 22 1/4 ” tail to feeler tip, body size including tail, 10 1/4 “.

2.  Chinese Bronze Vase

Item Description: Chinese 19th C. bronze vase decorated in high relief with cranes in flight amidst scrolling clouds, gilt detail. Nice dark patina with no damage. Calligraphy (date, maker?) around rim and reign mark on base. Measures 9 1/2″ tall and 6″ wide. Late 1900’s.

Item Description: Japanese statue of a Samurai, 9.5″ tall, made from Bizen pottery, resembles bronze. From mid 20th century (Showa period). Bizen pottery mark on the back of the figure.

4.  Japanese Buddhist Figure

Item Description: This Japanese figure represents the Buddhist figure Daruma. Constructed from Bizen pottery, it resembles bronze, and measures 11″ high. From the early 20th century, Meiji period.

5.  Six Engravings, Illustrations of the Fair Maid of Perth

Item Description: Set of six very fine Scottish engravings. All framed, conserved, and mounted with acid free baking and glass. Each measures 11 x 15 inches. Each lists name of engravers, all printed by M. Glashom & Smith in 1878. Figure titles are: Catherine and Father Clement; The Gateway Falkland Palace; The Glee Maiden; The Interview Between the Gow Chrom and the Highlander; Boat Scene in Loch Tay; and Campsie Linn. 6.  Salvador Dali Framed Lithograph

Item Description: Salvador Dali lithograph from King Series, 274/300 edition. In great condition, professionally mounted in heavy duty frame with acid free backing and glass. Measures 25 x 33 inches framed. Symbols of a well, a crotched tree branch,  scull, and king in the background.

7.  Framed Serigraph of EYEGLASSES by FOLON

Item Description: Jean-Michel FOLON (1934-2005) was a Belgian artist renowned for his printed, modernistic silk-screened (serigraph) posters. Eyeglasses (circa 1980) was featured on back cover of a Posters of Folon book published by Milton Glaser in 1978. The serigraph measures at 40 x 29 inches framed, with acid free backing and glass.  Includes the book of 20 frameable Folon posters.  15″ x 12″.

8.  Art Deco Dancing Figure

Item Description: Art Deco spelter figure of a dancing Grecian woman playing cymbals. Silvered patina. Well cast with no damage or wear. Mounted on a marble plinth. Signed on her hip, “Made in France” and on the bottom of one foot, “Gregoire”. Circa 1925. measures 19″ tall overall.

9.  Altar Cloth / Table Runner

Item Description: Altar Cloth (table runner), French, early 19th Century, possibly earlier. This large textile is framed with heavy gold metallic thread, followed by a dark brown embossed boarder, and a continuous central repeating colourful embroidered design of classical urns and phoenix birds. Each end of the cloth is finished in black velvet with the same metallic edging and ends in black silk tassels. Linen backing. A striking piece. Some wear due to its age, but a good textile conservator could restore its original brilliance. The cloth measures 112″ long (not including tassels) and 23.5″ wide.  

10.  Japanese Kimono

Item Description: Japanese Kimono, formal, mid 20th Century. Lovely emerald green silk-satin fabric, embossed with fans and colourfully decorated with hand-painted birds of paradise and metallic gold and silver embroidery. Stunning when displayed. Some areas of sun fading to green fabric along cloth folds. The kimono measures 77″ long and 49″ wide across the arms.

Item Description: Late Victorian Gentleman’s Card Case, 1898 or 1902, embossed leather with Birmingham sterling silver mounts. Signed by silversmith, Charles Boyton, in multiple locations. Monogramed with initials. Good condition.

Item Description: Royal Winton, stackable tea set includes mini teapot, creamer and sugar cup. Vintage England, circa 1950’s. Set is a mottled green colour trimmed in gold on a smooth rim. Also included, two matching Winton tea Cups, one has repair on tea cup handle.

14.  French Writing Folio

Item Description: French Boulle inlaid writing folio, early 1800’s, bound in soft, gilt and embossed leather, the front cover with inlay of pewter, stone, brass, ivory, mother-of-pearl, and horn. The back with stone and exotic wood inlays. Intricate, engraved gilt bronze French lock (requires 2 turns to lock/unlock), original bronze key. The interior with red silk, vellum compartments, original paper plus original letter paper; each sheet embossed with a detailed monogram. Possibly a one-of-a-kind special order for the Russian market. Some age-appropriate wear, it measures 11 1/2″ long x 9 1/4″ wide x 7/8″ thick.

Item Description: Japanese Imari tokkuri (sake) bottle, early 20th C., large octagonal example, with alternating panels of over and underglaze enamel floral arrangements, the shoulder decorated with “wagara” overglaze red textile patterns. The base with 3 firing spurs and Fuku mark. Measures 8 1/2 ” tall by 4″ wide.
