FOUND ALONG THE WAY

Robert Everingham

I really enjoy getting out and looking for that elusive treasure. My other passion is researching the items that I find. That’s almost as much fun.
I love one of a kinds whether it’s a painting, a piece of sculpture, folk art or what have you. I want to know that someone has touched it.
As you will see with the items I have listed art is a real passion for me..hope I can pass it on.

Hopefully one of the treasures I have found can find a home with someone that visits during the show……so welcome and enjoy

6. VINCENT MANAGO (1880-1936) BY THE RIVER

Item Price: $1700 CAN $1400 US

Item Description: This is a wonderful painting likely completed in the 1920’s but it could have been earlier. His popularity was at it’s peak from about 1900-1915. The original period frame does have a few bumps but could easily be corrected. The painting itself is in very good condition and would make a fabulous addition to any collection. His auction results have been steadily increasing.

12. 12 FELT AND FEATHER BIRDS (12) CHRISTMAS DECORATION

Item Price: $97 CAN $80 US

Item description:  From my research these little guys originally came as a premium in Lipton Tea in the early 1960’s. Around the same time period they also had butterflies but they were not as nice as these are. They vary slightly in size but would be around 3” long.
In another show someone suggested using them as Christmas decorations and I think that’s a great idea. Each of the birds have wire on their feet so they can be attached to a branch….we use them in our flower pots. I am selling them as a group (you might as well have a flock) have more if you’re interested. Please note the nest is not included and the birds for sale are the ones in the main pictures only.

13. ART COLONY INDUSTRIES BOOKENDS GERMAN SHEPPERDS 1920’S

Item Price:

Item Description: This is a very nicely made pair of bookends from the mid to late 1920’s. They stand about 6” tall and 5” wide and for their size are quite heavy…so they can hold books up very well. There are no markings on the cast but there is a 15…probably the mold number. In very good condition ready for your books.

14. BRASS BELLS GROUP OF FIVE OLD SCHOOLHOUSE OR FOR CHRISTMAS CAROLLING

Item Price: $215 CAN $175 US

Item Description: Not absolutely positive of the age of these cast brass bells but I would think the 30’s or 40’s. They are quite heavy and each has its’ own distinctive sound. The largest is 12” tall and 7” across and the smallest is about 7” and 3.5” across.

15. OIL ON BOARD “CLEARING IN THE FOREST” UNSIGNED ROBERT SIMPSON GALLERIES.

Item Price: $175 CAN $145

Item Description: Still cannot figure out why artists don’t sign their work. I believe this painting is likely somewhere around the 1940 era by the Robert Simpson tag on the back. A recent find I didn’t want to take it apart to see if there was a signature on the back. A beautiful little painting 9” x 7.5” it could fit anywhere.
Don’t forget it is so much nicer when it is original.
